I am about to decorate my sitting room and I have decided to have a complete refit of the room. I am going to get rid of all of my old Western furniture and carpets, pictures, rugs and ornaments and try something new. I am finding that the things I have are getting a bit cluttered and they are old fashioned and I want a change as well. I am hoping I can do something which will really emphasize the big windows in the room, make people feel taken aback when they enter the room and also be comfortable and cozy living space. Possibly a bit of a big want! However, I am looking at some southwest furniture at the moment which I think will work very well with the room and my ideas of what I would like to do with it and so I might be ordering that soon and using it as the basis of my whole room design. I am really looking forward to doing it and choosing all the new things to put in it. It is great to have this opportunity to do a bit of interior design and I am finding it great fun. I just hope that it looks as good as I hope which it is done.

I have just seen the most gorgeous house. It has a beautiful white painted exterior with lovely matching accessories. There were blue exterior window shutters which really stood out against the white paint of the house. They made the house look cottagey and really quaint. Then there were the plants. There were lots of beautiful coloured pants and trailing ivys dripping down from the window boxes which had been planted in exquisitely crafted window boxes. This made the house somehow look really friendly and approachable. The front door was painted blue to match the shutters and there were some grey concrete steps leading up to it. Each of the steps had a small rustic looking terracotta pot on it containing some of the same flowers as the window boxes which spill down onto the path and then right at the top, by the side of the front door were a set of lovely outdoor planters which had obviously been made to match the window boxes and they, again, had matching flowers and plants. I almost felt like knocking on the door of the house to congratulate the owners on making it look so stunning but I felt that may not be appropriate!

I am always amazed at how many hair loss products there are on the market for men. I always assumed that women were more vain than men and if you compare their beauty aisle to the men’s one then you can probably see why. I suppose there is no reason why a man should not get concerned about looking older in the same way that a woman does. For a woman having wrinkles and ageing skin seems to be the main concern, hence the amount of skin creams that are on the market. For men, wrinkles can be seen as a mark of maturity and somehow they do not seem to get as many. However hair loss is a different matter. Years ago men would just grow old gracefully but nowadays they seem to want to try a hair loss product before they give in to the fact that they will be bald. I suppose I cannot understand it because I am a woman and unlikely to lose my hair as I get older. I do think that the best hair loss treatment is probably to shave your hair really short but then I would not want to do that to mine!

I love jewellery and actually used to collect it a while ago. I think it is lovely to be able to accessorise an outfit and also use it to draw attention to certain parts of the body. I especially like items, such as, some starfish jewellery that I have come across lately. I love matching sets and this is great because there are starfish earrings, necklaces and other items so that you can get everything that you want. I like wearing matching things but also you can mix and match if you want to which is great. I like a whole variety of stuff, different colours, sizes and materials. Sometimes I want to wear big chunky beads or other times I might just wear a simple puzzle piece necklace. Sometimes I go for big dangly earrings and other times just a simple pair of metal hoops. It is great to have so much to choose from as it means that I always have something to match my outfit and somehow I do not feel dressed unless I have some sort of jewellery on. I guess it is similar to women who do not go out without make up on - I feel odd without wearing some.
